Are you present?

“Live in the present” is a catch phrase these days. I have witnessed a couple of reactions when a person hears these words. One is the rolling of the eyes. Another is what I like to call an  ‘Oprah Winfrey’ Aha moment.

I love both — they each speak to me of awareness. One is aware that living in the moment can be difficult — the other is aware of the reality that is now, the past is gone and the future is not promised to anyone.
May I suggest we not miss the present — following are a few mantra examples to help guide us to this end
Be still and know that I am God Psalm 46 vs 10
Stillness is freedom
May I be at ease
May I be well
May I be present
As you go about your day, look for either man made and/or mother nature’s mandalas such as a spider web, an eye, star anise, a kiwi, the centre point of a wild flower, spokes on bicycle.
Is there a message for us here to explore our surroundings, our consciousness as well as allow time to be still, meditate, be inspired by the true gold beauty of these mandalas. Whether they be trees, flowers, fruit or the cosmos. The elegant magnificence of God’s creation and gifts of creativity are there for us to discover.
Here is an interesting Blog for you to delve into my friend. It is written by Linda Wiggen Kraft  a site to inspire, transform and heal ~ 100 days for Mandalas – Summer Creativity Camp can be found at Creativityforthesoul.com/blog/category/100
