How about them apples

Do you ever just savour an apple. One bite at a time. One taste after another. The next time you have an apple, a red one, a green one, a golden one, notice the crunchiness, the absolute goodness of it, is it sweet or tart?

Fruit of the land picked fresh from your local Apple Orchard with the morning dew still dripping off it’s delicious flesh or maybe it travelled many miles by land or by water with memories of the workers hands that picked it. So much has gone into you having that apple in your hand. From seed to tree baring fruit.

Do you ever just eat an apple? The juice dripping down your chin using your other hand to capture the goodness.

This is the time of year to appreciate the apple. If you are lucky enough to live near an orchard. May I suggest you visit today. Pick some to eat in hand, pick some to bake maybe even pick a basket for a friend that can’t make it out. Enjoy!

An interesting fact: The famous Quote “An apple keeps the doctor away” actually comes from A Pembrokeshire proverb. “Eat an apple on going to bed, and you will keep the doctor from earning his bread.”
